Neston Primary School - Equans

AP Mitchell Group were contracted by Equans to undertake a major overhaul of the plant room and incoming gas services at Neston Primary School. As part of this project, AP Mitchell Group were responsible for the supply and installation of 2 No. new Ideal Evomax 2 150kW boilers, mounted on a cascade frame kit. These new boilers were installed with a new low loss header for hydraulic separation, and fed hot water into a new heating manifold.
Within the manifold AP Mitchell Group installed new flow and return headers for the hot water, as well as new distribution pipework, insulation and circulation pumps. A new ACV Smart hot water cylinder was also installed within the plant room to provide domestic hot water throughout the school.
Further to the upgrades within the school plant room, this project also involved upgrading the incoming gas supply feeding the school. A new incoming buried gas main was laid into the school grounds, terminating in the property's gas meter. From the gas meter, a new 63mm MDPE buried gas pipe was installed to feed the new plant room.
Lastly, a new BMS panel was configured to provide automatic and manual control over the new installations.
